Support to remain healthy at home

March 24, 2020

Ageing Australians and those with complex health conditions are more susceptible to germs and viruses including COVID-19. Here are some simple tips to safeguard you and your elderly loved ones so they can remain safe and comfortable in their own home:

  • Speak to your doctor or caregiver about your medication and medical equipment (oxygen, incontinence, dialysis, wound care) and arrange to have extra supplies
  • Shop online to minimise exposure to germs and viruses
  • Closely monitor your food supplies so there are sufficient non-perishable food items (canned vegetables, fruit and soups, pasta, rice and long-life milk)

For the latest information about COVID-19, visit Australian Government Department of Health.
